Giving

Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. A believer labours not to accrue personal wealth or possessions, but to steward God's resources well and model Jesus to our brothers, sisters, and community. Our work is an effort to serve our Father in all things, and one of the primary ways we serve God is by cheerfully giving God our “firstfruits” (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9). We call our members to give, not by meeting some obligatory percentage, but gladly sacrificing for the sake of the gospel because Jesus sacrificed for us, and all we have is His. We thank those who have helped us meet our needs in the past, and pray that everyone at St John's would join in faithful, consistent, and godly giving as Scripture instructs.

How to Give

If you’re keen to partner with us financially, you can do so in several ways:

1. Direct Deposit
BSB:      032-285
Account No:   623303

To give to a specific Mission Partner, please use the "reference" feature for your deposit to indicate this.

2. BPAY
Biller Code:  15057
Reference:  10009

3. Cash
Cash may be placed in the offertory box at the back of the church at a Sunday service. Offertory envelopes (available at church) can help with your regular giving and you can nominate that some of your giving be for specific needs.

4. Cheque
Make cheques out to St John's Asquith, and either place in the offertory box or post to the church office at 6 Royston Parade, Asquith, 2077

5. Bequests

Leaving a bequest, whether small or large, is a very significant way in which you can impact the spread of the gospel. This might include a specific amount of money, a percentage of your estate, a residue of your estate, or the whole of your estate.

When making such a gift it is important to use the correct legal terminology, and so we recommend consulting a solicitor for advice.

If you would like to confidentially discuss your plans, please contact either the treasurer, one of our wardens or the church office.
